I took this picture while on vacation during the Christmas holiday. I was vi sting my friend in Pensacola, fl and we walked outside and captured this beautiful image of the sunset. It caught my breath because it represented the beauty and simplicity that can be found in nature. It was shocking that these colors could be made by the particular placement of the sun to the earth's atmosphere. When you examine the photo, there is a white light that his coming from behind the buildings crossing across the sky with hints of purple and orange from the top. It captures and highlights the spectrum of color that is represented in white light. Also notice how the light highlights the buildings on this side, creating a soft feel to their rough gray edges. Lastly, take in how the color of the sky bounces off the pool of water on the ground. It poops the color in the photo and softens the sharpness of the images, but does not interfere with the clarity. This photos reminds me off a mood that is subtle, but has enough charisma and "punch" to keep the audience's attention. It does not distract them from the dialogue or action of the scene taking place, but gives it emotion and "fresh breath" type quality.
Nice post and attention to detail in the color but "It poops the color" - huh? :)
