Light Through the Window

While browsing my livejournal friends list, I came across a photo that really struck my eye. It took a moment to realize exactly it was that caught me. The photo was of my friends room, of her window and blinds, with plants and other items lining the window sill. What I found so beautiful was how she allowed so much daylight to enter the room through the sides and bottom of the curtain. It let just enough light into the room while letting the items on the windowsill glow so gracefully. This is definitely a room I could wake up easily in. I'm considering switching my vertical blinds out for something like this. So classy. So elegant.
